The State Government of Orissa has decided to impose Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) against the government doctors threatening to go on strike from today. The state government has declared the proposed strike as "illegal, unjustified and detrimental to public interest". The doctors have been protesting against the dismissal of three doctors and seeking their reinstatement.
