 Opto Circuits Agrees to Sell Diagnostic Cardiology Products to Mortara Instrument

Mortara Instrument Inc. of Milwaukee has signed an agreement to acquire the cardiac diagnostic product line from Cardiac Science, which is a part of Opto Circuits.

Cardiac Science has agreed to offer its support to diagnostic cardiology business during the transition period.

With this sale, Cardiac Science hopes to focus exclusively on its resuscitation-products business, having a high growth margin.

While Mortara Instrument Inc. hopes to utilize this acquisition to introduce its leading ECG technology into new markets.

The shares of Opto Circuits were hiked by 0.91% following this dealing.
