Chairman of the Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society (MOS), Dr. Jeevan Ladi said, "Normally it is noticed that while working on the computer our rate of blinking reduces. This is because we try to concentrate on the printed matter, which is less clear than written copy. This causes muscle strain, eye pain, headache, eye strain, tiredness, burning of eyes, dryness, redness and itching."
To relieve muscle strain Dr. Ladi has recommended a 20x20x20 exercise, in which he advises people to move their eye gaze after every 20minutes to an object 20meters away and blink the eyes for 20seconds while looking at that object. Even Dr. Jignesh Taswala, president of Poona Ophthalmological Society (POS) said, "Frequent movement of eyes is very important for good blood circulation."
