Onions are Effective in Reducing High Blood Pressure
Researchers at the University of Southern Queensland have revealed that a chemical present in onions can prove to be effective in reducing the risk of diabetes and high blood pressure and also help in regulating weight.
The researchers revealed that a compound called rutin, which is extracted from onions, was found to improve blood pressure, reverse fat stores and glucose problems as well as repair liver damage in mice.

The study, led by Professor Lindsay Brown along with Hemant Poudyal and Sunil K Panchal, will be published in next issue of the Journal of Nutrition.
