Octogenarian Man Turns into 'Sex Manic', Thanks to Viagra

An aged Australian man was slapped with a fine of 232,000 dollars after Viagra turned him into a sex maniac.

Svetozar Varmedja, who is 80-years-old, had started taking the erectile dysfunction drug in 2001, after which he demanded sex from his 53-year-old wife at least three times a day, and started abusing her.

Varmedja was found to have subjected his wife to more than 18 months of physical and sexual abuse, and through a court ruling, was ordered to pay compensation for the abuse, which included 60 threats to kill her if she did not meet his sexual needs.

"Those tablets changed him and he started to treat me like a slave," the Daily Telegraph quoted his wife as saying from her Sydney home.

"He was a gentleman and a good man, but then he started taking the tablets," she added.

She revealed that after he started taking up to three Viagras a day, his sex drive increased dramatically and she was forced into hundreds of sex acts.

"After taking those tablets, he told me it was very important for him to have sex three or four times a day," she said.

The battle for justice had taken seven-years and it ended only last week after the Supreme Court rejected an appeal by her husband that the pay-out was "excessive".

According to the court, the case was "unusual" because an ex-spouse does not usually sue for assault. Nonetheless, it demonstrated that he should be ordered to pay her damages for his deliberate, intentional and reckless disregard for her.
