Nutritionally-Balanced Pizza

 Nutritionally-Balanced Pizza
A nutritionist from Glasgow University in Scotland has claimed that he has developed a pizza that is nutritionally balanced.
Professor Mike Lean said that he has developed the pizza in collaboration with entrepreneur Donnie Maclean. The new Eat Balanced pizza range will contain nearly a third of the daily recommended intake of vitamins and minerals along with a third of the daily recommended limit of calories, protein and carbohydrates.

The pizza will contain seaweed instead of salt, drastically reducing the sodium intake in every pizza. Professor Lean said that the idea of developing a nutritionally balanced pizza emerged when they saw that the ready meals in top five supermarkets in Scotland contained as much salt as recommended for the whole day.

“If you go along to a supermarket or a restaurant and buy a meal, then somebody should have thought about it nutritionally. We've recently studied ready meals produced by the top five supermarkets in Scotland - common foods eaten in huge numbers - and they're hopelessly unbalanced”, he said.
