North Koreans Using Mobile Phones to Launch New Businesses
Despite strict restrictions, mobile phones are increasingly becoming popular in North Korea and are encouraging new forms of enterprise.
Catering businesses in Pyongyang have sprung up after they have started to take orders for delivery of sushi and hamburgers among other food items from mobile phone users.

"Mobile phones are enormously popular, especially among the elite and wealthy traders who can afford them," the Wall Street Journal quoted a Korean resident, as saying.

Despite the North Korean regime prohibiting residents from making international calls with the phones or accessing the Internet with them, some residents still manage to share information using sophisticated models that come with video and removable memory cards, the report said.
