States in northern India continue to reel under a severe heat wave even as meteorologists have confirmed that monsoon has hit the Kerala coast.
Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan have been the worst hit this season where the temperature has touched 47 degree Celsius, which is five degrees above normal.

BP Yadav, head of the Met Department's National Weather Forecasting Centre in New Delhi said, "No relief is expected in the next four-five days but temperature won't increase further. The heat wave will remain as intense today and tomorrow and the western winds have also added to the sizzling heat."

Delhi has been reeling under an intense heat wave since the past few days where temperature has even crossed 47 degrees in some places.
