Tyler Butcher, all of nine years, was bitten by an 18-inch-long adder when she was enjoying a stroll with her family in the New Forest, Hampshire. An ambulance was called and she was rushed to the intensive care unit at Southampton General Hospital. Her leg had turned black and she was in great pain. Doctors gave her antivenom shot and she is now recovering well.
