Forget the hassle of tying your shoelaces before leaving from home everyday, for Nike is working on a sneaker featuring an automatic lacing system, similar to the one featured

The "automatic lacing system provides a set of straps that can be automatically opened and closed to switch between a loosened and tightened position," the New York Daily News quoted the papers as saying.
The patent was filed in 2009.
An image accompanying the documents reveals what would likely be a high-top sneaker, with straps over the top of the foot, as well as around the ankle.
The straps would automatically tighten or loosen with the press of a button near the heel.
In 'Back to the Future Part II', similar shoes - which were adorned with the Nike logo - were among several futuristic clothing items Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) wore in the year 2015.
