Nigeria Confirms Five More Ebola Cases

Nigeria confirmed five new cases of Ebola in Lagos and a second death from the virus, bringing the total number of cases in sub-Saharan Africa's largest city to seven.

"Nigeria has now recorded 7 confirmed cases of Ebola Virus Disease," health minister Onyebuchi Chukwu said.

Sierra Leone Deploys Troops to Ebola Clinics
The president's office reveal that the government of Sierra Leone has deployed hundreds of troops to Ebola clinics, to enforce the isolation of patients.

Those who have died include the "index patient," a Liberian who brought the virus to Lagos on July 20 and a nurse who treated him, the minister added.
