Nicole Richie Checked Out of Hospital With Baby Daughter

American socialite Nicole Richie is so keen to start life as a mum, that she checked out of hospital just hours after giving birth.

Richie gave birth to baby daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre on 11 Jan.

Little Harlow weighed six pounds seven ounces when she was born, Contactmusic reported.

A representative of the proud parents insisted that the baby is "beautiful" and "healthy".

The rep also confirmed that the "ecstatic parents" left the Los Angeles hospital on Friday evening.
