New South Wales Police Recover Huge Arms and Drugs Cache of Bike Gang

Police in New South Wales, Australia recovered a huge cache of arms and drugs Friday as the crackdown on the notorious motorcycle gangs continued. They have since arrested one man in connection with the case.

The Australian Crime Commission, tracking the illegal amphetamine markets, identified high volume pseudoephedrine sales and assisted in identifying the premises raided by NSW Police. says their website.

The arsenal recovered included a ‘Tommy gun”, a fully automatic AK47 assault rifle, a number of handguns, Taser stun guns and ammunition.

Police also located tactical equipment including ballistic (bullet-proof) vests, ballistic helmets, a ramming device, night vision goggles, a number of police uniforms and a police badge.

During the search police also located a safe containing suspicious items, believed to be explosive devices. Specialist police from the Rescue and Bomb Disposal Squad assisted at the scene.

Police also seized a quantity of what is believed to be methylamphetamine, the website said.

Subsequently detectives from the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad arrested a 20-year-old man at a café in Kent Street, Sydney, says the NSW police website.

He was taken to St George Police Station and subsequently charged with possessing more than three unregistered firearms, one of them prohibited.

Strike Force Mandur, lead by State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad has been formed to conduct further investigations into the incident.
