New Ebola Cases Dropped to Its Lowest Level
The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that the number of new Ebola cases reported in the three worst-hit countries in west Africa, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia has dropped to its lowest level since late June.
With 65 new cases in Sierra Leone, 30 in Guinea and 4 in Liberia, the WHO said that the three countries jointly reported a total of 99 new cases for the week ending January 25. However, Guinea's figure rose from 20 confirmed cases in the previous week.

The WHO report pointed to the western district of Forecariah, where the local community showed high levels of resistance against measures to limit the virus spread, was the worst-hit in Guinea, with half the new cases for the week.
