EarMachine is a new iOS App which can be downloaded at no cost and will be a blessing for those with hearing problems.

A new study found that more than 72 percent of teens who went to a rock concert by a popular female singer experienced trouble with their hearing.

The EarMachine is capable of using the power of iPhones to work on the audio and adapt it to the user’s needs. This is possible as Smart phones possess the same hardware as hearing assist devices, which includes a microphone, analog-to-digital converter, and a CPU.

The NIH and the Capita Foundation have funded the development of this new App.

With this App, the user can control the manner in which audio is processed depending on individual needs and the environment where the app is being used.
