New Anti-Wrinkle Pill may also Protect from Effects of Sun Exposure
Researchers from the University of Essex have developed a new anti wrinkle pill which can reduce age-related problems such as crow’s feet and saggy skin and can also provide protection from the sun.
Known as Colladeen Visage, the table is made up of plant extracts lutein and anthocyanidins is priced at £17.95 for 60 tablets. The researchers conducted a 12-week study involving 60 adults between 40 and 70 years of age and found that it strengthens the blood vessels which provide nutrients and oxygen to the cells.

Lead researcher Dr Samantha Christie said that the pill provides similar protection to our skin as seen in plants. “Plants protect themselves from sun damage with pigments such as lutein and anthocyanadins. When these are present in high quantities in our diet we see a complex effect on skin chemistry, a natural SPF is achieved as well as an ability to reverse pre-existing sun damage”, she said.
