The National Immunization Day for Pulse Polio was held on 18 January.

All children below 5 years of age were administered polio drops as part of the government's drive to sustain polio eradication from the country.

Earlier on Saturday, President Pranab Mukherjee launched the program by administering polio drops to children at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
