Napping Seems to Be an Issue for Single Mothers in the US
Most of us feel like staying on the beds for longer hours during weekends. It is because of lack of good night’s sleep every day. 7-8 hours of sleep is a must for our overall well-being.//
A recent report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that the most sleep-deprived people in the United States are single mothers. It conducted its annual study of 44,000 American adults through a survey that inquired about their sleeping habits.

The survey revealed that 44 percent of single moms living with children under the age of 18 fall short of recommendations to get at least seven hours of shut-eye each night. Likewise, 38 percent of single dads who live with their kids sleep less than seven hours per night.

The other issues single moms suffered were falling and staying asleep (24%), trouble resting for 4 or more times per week (28%), and feeling that they are not well rested (57%).

Similarly, couples with children reported suffering with issues in the sleep department. 33 percent of them slept less than seven hours per night, compared with 31 percent of adults who did not live with kids. The CDC believes that this difference, despite being small, is still statistically significant.
