The claim that Mountain Dew can turn a mouse's body into a 'jelly-like substance' may come back to hurt PepsiCo's overall business.

According to the Madison Record, Ronald Ball of Wisconsin claimed that he purchased a can of the bright green, supercaffeinated citrus-flavored soda only to discover mid-sip that there was a dead rodent inside, the New York Daily reported.
He said that he had sent the mouse in a Mason jar to Pepsi but the company destroyed the evidence.
A scientist who testified on behalf of Pepsi Co said that there was no way a mouse could have made it through the bottling process intact, and that its body would have dissolved into a 'jelly-like substance'.
The soft drink giant has asked a judge for more time to prepare a motion to dismiss the lawsuit and will likely defend itself against the allegations in a Wisconsin courtroom on January 11.
