A Slovenian government official has said that the government could soon prepare a law to legalise same-sex marriage and in certain cases the adoption of children by homosexual couples.
The government had agreed that it had to grant same-sex couples the same rights as heterosexual couples enjoyed, or as near as possible, Interior Minister Katarina Kresal told journalists.
That would "definitely mean marriage and adoptions" where the biological parent had no objection, she added.
