Man Loses Penis After Injecting Olive Oil into It for Five Years
An unnamed 50-year old man in Thailand had his penis removed following a serious infection after he attempted to enlarge the organ by injecting olive oil into it.
A spokesperson at Bangkok-based Police General Hospital said that the man continued to inject his penis with olive oil over a period of five years and suffered from a cut six months ago.

However he did not seek any medical attention and the cut became infected and his organ swelled to the “size of a coconut”.

After finally getting a doctor to check the organ, he was diagnosed with cancer and the doctors amputated his penis in order to prevent further spread of the cancerous cells. “This is the biggest (genital) surgery we have ever done as we found cancer. It only brings bad results - people misunderstand (that it works)”, hospital spokesman Sirikul Jiaranaikhajorn said.
