Spanish man who was competing in a beer-drinking contest, died after drinking seven litres of beer. According to a Spanish media report, the rules of the contest, which was staged in Gea y Truyols in the southern Murcia region on Wednesday, required the competitors to consume as much beer as possible in 20 minutes.
46-year-old Joaquin G A, a hospital watchman by profession, won the competition with seven litres, but soon after he started vomiting, News24 reported.
Later, he fainted and died on the way to the hospital.
Gea y Truyols decreed three days of mourning and the village festivities, featuring the event, were canceled.
