A former US politician who denied three child sex charges has blamed the Parkinson's drug, for his addiction to sex.
Terence Lewis Martin of Claremont pleaded not guilty to one count of indecent assault, one count of sexual intercourse with a young person under the age of 17 years, and one count of producing child exploitation material.

He told police he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2005 and that the medication he was prescribed caused a sex addiction.

He said he visited a sex worker in Melbourne, which began a series of visits to sex workers.

"It's the worst bloody thing I've done in my life," the Examiner quoted Martin as saying.

"Since then I've seen 162 different sex workers ... I've spent 150,000 dollars.

Martin said he also discovered internet pornography.

"It's an addiction and I don't understand it," he added.

The charges Martin is facing relate him to having sexual relations with a 12-year-old, who was prostituted by her mother and her pimp.
