A report from the Mental Health Foundation has warned that loneliness is a curse of the modern society and that many youngsters are battling this condition.

Love and friendship have the ability to buffer out life's ills and the absence of the same from anyone's life can be devastating. Del Loewenthal, professor of psychotherapy at Roehampton University says, “It's a mistake to turn loneliness into an illness. What matters are people's individual meanings”.
Therefore young people would do well to have real world friends as well apart from their social-networking ones in the virtual world.
