Lingerie Equipped With GPS System to Help Tackle Sexual Crimes Developed
A new type of lingerie that allows women to send out alerts in case of attacks has been developed by a group of three engineering students in Chennai.
To be called as Society Harnessing Equipment (SHE), the lingerie is fitted with modules of GPS and is able to send alerts to the girl’s family and the police in case she is sexually attacked.

It also has a hidden weapon and is able to send shock waves of 3,800 kV, with the maker stating that the molester will get the ‘shock of his life’ if he attempts to carry out the attack.

“The lingerie, laced with modules of global positioning system (GPS), global system for mobile communications (GSM) and also pressure sensors, is capable of sending shock waves of 3,800 kV as well as alerts to the girl's parents and police. The shocks can be emitted up to 82 times. A person trying to molest a girl will get the shock of his life the moment pressure sensors get activated, and the GPS and GSM modules would send a SMS on emergency number 100, as well as to parents of the girl”, the co-developer of the lingerie, Manisha Mohan said.
