A new study published in the Journal of Pediatrics has said that the number of embryos used during in vitro fertilization should be limited

The researchers said that limiting the number of embryos could also reduce the number of premature twins and triplets who have a greater health risk and require constant hospital care.
“A mandatory policy of single embryo transfer would be of substantial benefit to the health of Canadian babies while still benefiting infertile couples”, the researcher said.
