A new study published in the Journal of Pediatrics has said that the number of embryos used during in vitro fertilization should be limited in order to reduce the number of new born deaths.
According to the study conducted by researchers at the University of Montreal, over 40 infant deaths could be prevented every year by reducing the number of embryos used while the time spent in the hospitals could also be drastically cut down.
The researchers said that limiting the number of embryos could also reduce the number of premature twins and triplets who have a greater health risk and require constant hospital care.
