Lesbian Couple Jailed For Thrashing Neighbour

A British lesbian couple have been jailed for thrashing a neighbour within inches of his life. Mr. Christopher Steadman, 45, made a pass only to end up in hospital, with brain haemorrhage and fractured cheekbone and jaw.

Southampton Crown Court heard he, and two other men, had been drinking with Sara Bradbury, 30, and Brianna Lewin, 28, in their flat.

While Lewin was taking one man home, Mr Steadman attempted to make a sexual advance on Bradbury but he was rebuffed.

She then texted Lewin and, on her return to the flat, in Southampton, Hants, they set upon Steadman.

The court heard how Lewin made a 999 call for an ambulance after she realised the extent of their victim's injuries.

"He (victim) was vulnerable and unable to defend himself." The Sun quoted Judge Gary Burrell QC as saying.
"You could have easily killed him or caused him a permanent brain injury."
Bradbury and Lewin are no longer together. Bradbury admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent and was jailed for 30 months.

Judge Gary Burrell QC paid tribute to her four-year army service in which she had served in Bosnia and Kosova, describing it as 'exemplary.'  Apart from a drink driving conviction, she was of previous good character.

Lewin, who has 11 previous convictions for 18 offences, was convicted after denying the same allegation. She was jailed for a total of four years and four months.
