Kiwi Women Get Carried Away With Clean-shaven Men

by Medindia Content Team on Nov 3 2007 5:58 PM

Clean-shaven men would stand a better chance when wooing a Kiwi woman than men with whiskers, finds a new survey.

The survey, conducted independently by Johnson’s, a shower and shave products giant, found that majority of women in New Zealand preferred their men to be clean-shaven, reports Stuff.Co.NZ.

Out of the total women surveyed, 75 per cent said that they found a clean-shaven man most attractive. Stubble was second, way back on 8 per cent, with a moustache on 7 per cent, and a beard on just 6 per cent.

The survey coincides with ‘Movember’, the charity event held annually during November for raising awareness about prostate cancer and other men's health issues. Participants have the month to grow and groom a moustache for sponsorship.

The survey also found that women were shaving loyalists as nearly two 65 per cent said that they preferred shaving to leg hair removal creams, followed by waxing on 16 per cent, and hair removal/depilatory creams on just 5 per cent.
