Johnson & Johnson Commits to Do Away With Formaldehyde from Products
Manufacturer of well-known personal care products, like baby shampoo, acne cream and anti-wrinkle lotion, Johnson & Johnson, made a recent announcement of their commitment to remove certain potentially harmful chemicals, like formaldehyde, from its consumer products within 2 years.
In its earlier announcement, Johnson & Johnson had expressed their desire to do away with certain chemicals from baby products by 2013.

“There’s a very lively public discussion going on about the safety of ingredients in personal care products,” said Susan Nettesheim, vice president for product stewardship and toxicology for the company’s consumer health brands. “It was really important that we had a voice in that.”
