Italian Restaurant Bice Unveils Pope-inspired Main Course
Pope Francis-inspired main course- churrasco ravioli with chimichurri, was unveiled by a Midtown Italian restaurant Bice.
The meal combines the signature meat and salsa of Francis' native Argentina with the Italian pasta his parents ate before they immigrated to Buenos Aires.

According to the New York Daily News, executive chef Silverio Chavez, 49, a Catholic born in Mexico, said that when one cooks they honour God.

He added that the Pope represents God on earth - so he thought of making some Italian food inspired by the Pope!

The restaurant hopes the new Pope will enjoy the dish, and bless the eatery, the report said.

Chavez noted most of the ingredients in the dish were organic, which would probably be well-suited for Francis, who named himself after the patron saint of the environment.

Of course, Francis, who extols the virtues of a life of poverty, might be a little uneasy with the price of the dish, which is 24 dollars.
