It Takes 750 Pounds a Year to Keep Your Loved One Happy

Everything in life comes with a price tag, especially when it comes to keeping a loved one happy throughout the year, for anniversaries, other important dates and romantic gestures rack up a bill of 750 pounds annually.

Though an average man would spend something close to 62 pounds a month on presents, half a million men with huge wallets will spend up to 500 pounds to make sure that their loved one is happy.

The study conducted by website MoneyExpert.com also revealed that the extravaganza meant remembering to gift something on special days, and saying a sorry or thank you.

62 pounds a month that amounts to 744 pounds a year may sound really open-handed, but the study of 2300 males has found that it comes to 3 percent of average annual income in UK - 25,000 pounds.

Men are squanderers, for they spend about 71 pounds for their partners as compared to 51 pounds by women, reports Scotsman.

Twelve percent of the expenditure on their better halves is on jewellery and watches.

Women only spend something above 5 pct on computer or console games for their men.
