That it would replace the doctor’s main diagnosis instrument, the 200-year old stethoscope, and become such a sensation among the medical fraternity and other users, was only evident when it became an all time hit being download a few million times.
The iStethoscope, as it is now being called has been updated to record heart sounds which can be emailed to professionals around the world for their expert opinions. It was found to be better than other applications like digital stethoscopes and a couple of thousand times or more, cheaper while the audio was clearly far superior.
