Is Depleted Uranium Present at Springfield Armory?
State officials are eagerly awaiting results of tests to know for sure about the presence of depleted uranium on the grounds of the former Springfield Armory.

Inspectors from The Public Health and the state Department of Environmental Protection are analyzing areas of the former armory to find evidence of depleted uranium that may have been used four decades ago.

Over time, depleted uranium becomes radioactive and this can pose major health risks.
