Iraq War Veteran Finishes 2,012 Mile Walk for Charity
In Canary Wharf, London, a former soldier who was injured in a rocket attack in Iraq in 2008, has crossed the finishing line of his 2,012 mile charity walk.
Major Phil Packer MBE, who was told he would never walk again, completed the walk to raise money to build a Centre for Inspiration to help youngsters facing adversity.

According to the Telegraph, it is the latest of a series of challenges that the former soldier has undertaken since 2008, including parachuting with the Red Devils and rowing the English Channel.

His final leg of this epic journey, which amounted to walking 310 marathons over more than 300 days, saw him reach Montgomery Square in Canary Wharf at around 4pm, the report said.

On arrival, Major Packer urged businesses to help him raise more money for young people facing physical and mental challenges, it added.
