A freak case was detected during a hernia surgery performed on a male patient in Assam’s Dhubri district; Doctors at the Dhubri Civil Hospital found the presence of female reproductive organs inside the patient.
During the surgery performed on 29-year-old, Shahjahan Ali Alam, from Mankachar, a carpenter by profession, surgeons discovered a uterus, ovaries and a fallopian tube inside the patient’s body.At this point in time, doctors are unable to offer any explanation apart from calling it a rare medical case. In the meantime , doctors have recommended additional tests on the patient, following which they will thrash out the next course of action.
