Impasse With FDA Delays Availability of Libido-Boosting Drugs for Women

An American company that is looking to develop new drugs to improve sexual desire in women with low libido announced that it needs more time to bring the drug, flibanserin, on to the market after reaching an impasse with the Food and Drug Administration.

Since women's sexual issues are more psychological, than physical, Sprout Pharmaceuticals said that the drug works by acting on brain chemicals connected to mood and appetite, Fox News reported.
