Hyderabad Police Temporarily Suspend the Use of Alcohol Breath Analysers
Ten cases of swine flu is reported in Telangana, India, out of which three have died. Out of the three, two were treated in Osmania hospital, Hyderabad.
185 people have tested positive for the deadly H1N1 virus.

As precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus, the Hyderabad police have temporarily suspended their drink driving check.

Breath analysers are used to test if a driver is under the influence of alcohol. The driver is made to blow into the gadget. Although a straw is used and changed for every person, chances of contamination cannot be ruled out.

Policemen all around the state have been asked to wear precautionary masks while conducting drunk driving tests as the virus spreads through air droplets.

Health officials here maintained that swineflu disease this year is not as virulent as it was in 2009 but high-risk groups need to remain alert.

Eighty-eight cases of swineflu were reported in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh last year and 11 people reportedly died of the disease.
