Medindia brings you an exclusive interview with Samridhi Shukla on "How to Manage Your Weight." She gives tips on how one can manage their weight despite a busy schedule. In this interview, I was asked, "How do you take care of the diet?" She replied, "I avoid junk food." I avoid carbs. whenever I have to control my weight and avoid sugary stuff. This is something obvious. For instance, I used to drink coffee. in particular, cold coffee, but it used to be with sugar and milk. It's been four to five years now. I have skipped the milk in my coffee. "I have a habit of drinking coffee; it's not an addiction, though I started developing that as a habit, along with drinking green tea, because somewhere it helps our body."

Further being questioned on the importance of yoga and meditation, she added, "Yoga and meditation are very important." I started yoga at the time of COVID, and my stress and anxiety used to be under control because yoga can calm you down so much. After all, it is the connection between your mind and body. With gymming, we are working on our bodies, but our minds are not very engaged with the whole process. In reality, we are simply telling our minds to push their limits and do more exercise, which is a good thing. But I like yoga because it is good for your mental health, which is something we often overlook. We only focus on our physical health, but along with physical health, if there is something for mental health, then yoga and meditation will truly center you. I used to practice meditation. but due to some constraints, it has been on hold for some time now.
