Hospital Negligence Blamed for Baby’s Death
An investigation into the death of a baby on the same day of birth in April last year, has found certain grave treatment mistakes during child birth.
Frank Gamble did not survive following a bleed on the brain which was caused by fractured skull. He was born on April 18th but died at 10.54pm after a bleed on the brain.

The investigation found that the cause of his death was a fracture that was due to the wrong use of forceps used to deliver Frank.

Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray said: "There were very serious failings in the care which Tracey Gamble and her baby Frank received at Colchester Hospital. If that care had been provided better Baby Frank might have survived."
