High-tech Doping Testing Centres Shut All Chances Of Cheating by London Olympic Athletes
The most high-tech doping testing centres prepared by Olympic chiefs during the Games to ensure the cleanest Games ever.
According to the Daily Star, every medal winner will be tested for drugs and 150 experts will work 24*7 at a special lab to process results before medal ceremonies.

Many other athletes will also be ordered to give samples and around half of all competitors will be tested across the 17 days of the Games.

Drugs giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has teamed up with scientists at King's College London to ensure 6,250 tests will be carried out during the games.

Steve Clarke, head of drug metabolism at GSK, said that the athletes would be "mad" to try to cheat the system.

He said: "There are going to be more tests than ever before. It's quite an endeavour. There's no way you're going to play the odds."

Previous Games have seen high-profile disqualifications because of drugs tests.

Clarke said: "We want all the laboratories to work perfectly all the way through and work 24/7".

"We'd also like to see it be the cleanest Games so you'd like there would be no positive tests," he added.

"You'd like to think that by putting together the best testing facilities there has ever been, you'll just put anybody off and they'll go: 'Do you know what, we're just not going to cheat in London 2012,'" Clarke added.
