Here is Why Women are 'More Intuitive' Than Men

Women are "more intuitive" than men due to a biological component, says a new study. This component predisposes women to adopt a "less reflexive" attitude in life.

According to the study by researchers from the University of Granada, the Barcelona Pompeu Fabra University and the Middlesex University of London, women tend to give more intuitive answers, whilst men respond in a more reflexive way.

The study found that men respond better to the Cognitive Reflection Test (CRT) than women but, among the latter, those that showed a more "masculine" (ie, lower) digital ratio, answered as equally well as the men.

The researchers said that their findings were an indication that prenatal exposure to testosterone predisposes people to adopt a more reflexive and less intuitive mindset. Furthermore, this effect seems to be stronger among women.

The study was published in the journal Psychoneuroendocrinology.
