Heavily Pregnant Woman Faces Criticism After Posting Pictures of Lifting Weights

A 35-year old woman who is 8 1/2-month pregnant has sparked criticism on the internet after she posted images of herself lifting weights.

Lea-Anne Ellison from California had posted the images on Facebook, praising CrossFit for keeping her fit during pregnancy.

Stating that she has been participating in CrossFit for the last two and a half years, Ellison said that it has helped keep her sanity during her pregnancy.

The images however have drawn criticism from a number of people, experts and the general public alike. One woman, who revealed that she too was a crossfit enthusiast, said that the images were 'sickening' and said that she does not recommend it to other pregnant women, adding that the images give the wrong impression that it is ok to lift heavy weights during pregnancy.
