The competition was open to all, and many people participated. There were two categories: one was the adult category, and the other was the student category. The adult category was judged by Shri Lakshmi Mohan Rao, an industrialist; Dr. Gayathri, an actress; and Dr. Gayathri, HR and a Bharatnatyam dancer. The student category was judged by Mr. Sumeer Kumar, a recipient of kidney donation; Mr. Raghavan, a transplant coordinator at MOHAN Foundation; and Mr. Periyanayagam, a transplant coordinator at MOHAN Foundation.

Students from A.C.S. Medical College and MGR University backed the first prize, and the second prize was backed by students from Anna Adarsh College. The adult category was won by duos of varying ages, signifying that age is just a number for ‘Art for a Cause.’

The winners received exciting prizes and presents, while all participants earned certificates.

Beautiful art can be both uplifting and mysterious. Some of it simply ignites the creativity or beauty within all of us, while other great works of art force us to consider deeper themes. Great artworks, regardless of their intensity, compel most people to pause, if only for a moment, to have an emotional experience. And this experience, these emotions, will be relived each time the viewer comes into contact with that work of art again.

This is why art used to promote awareness for a cause can be so effective. The artwork evokes a strong and lasting emotion in the viewer, prompting them to take action. Visual pictures, like music, stay with us longer than words. Most artists understand the power of art, which is why so many use it to express themselves, make a statement, or, in the case of the artists listed below, incite movement for a cause, and this event did justice to the cause of organ donation by successfully creating a powerful impact on the audience and visitors.
