Head Nurse Transferred, Doctor Issued Notice Over the Onam Feast in Kerala Hospital

A doctor slapped with show-cause notice and nurse has been transferred at the medical college hospital in Thiruvananthapuram where an onam feast was allegedly served to the employees in the operation theater.

After the controversy erupted, //the State health minister V.V. Sivakumar along with K Elangovan, Secretary carried out a probe in the hospital. An order has been issued for transferring the head nurse, who was in charge of the theater. A show-cause notice has also been issued to the head of the Anesthesia Department on the probe.

Employees of medical college hospital in Thiruvananthapuram were served onam feast inside the operation theater and floral carpets were laid to welcome them.

Besides serving feast, a floral carpet was also laid in the operation theater to greet the staff, including doctors, as part of the Onam celebrations.
