"After being given an assurance by health minister Jay Narayan Vyas, we called off the strike. The minister assured our delegation that fool-proof security will be provided to doctors at the Civil Hospital," said Devendra Chaudhary, vice-president of the junior doctor's association.

The Shahibaug police are investigating the case. They have also received a complaint from a woman patient at the hospital that three young doctors molested and attempted to rape her. Police have not issued any statement regarding this case.
