After the ban on Nestle’s Maggi noodles, the Goa Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) on Friday, June 12, 2015, have asked Hindustan Unilever Limited to recall the entire Knorr Chinese noodles product range. The order for recalling products had been issued after the realization that there was no Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) approval. The government statement said, "Today, FDA Goa directed the Hindustan Unilever Ltd. company to recall their Knorr range of noodle products which FSSAI had directed them to recall since they had not obtained prior product approval about its safety. So far there are no quality issues in these products."
