Gender Reassignment Surgery Sought by Transgender Inmate

Lyralisa Stevens, a transgender inmate in California, has moved the court for relocation to a women’s prison, after being raped several times in the prison. She has also asked for gender reassignment surgery.

Prior to being convicted for murder in 2003, she had taken silicone injections to improve the size of her breasts and hips.
