Researchers at Hiroshima University recently found that university students who viewed images of baby animals like puppies and kittens performed set tasks with greater time and care.

A new study by researchers has revealed that looking at cute images of baby animals may improve your work performance, inspiring more fine-tuned attention and careful behaviour.

Apparently, staring at "less cute" adult animals or "pleasant foods" like steak or sushi was not nearly so productive, Stuff.co.nz

The study, called The Power of Kawaii , found that the positive emotions produced by looking at baby animals seems to trigger not only happiness but a "narrowed attentional focus", which in turn improves our ability to concentrate.
