Garlic Banned at Ryder Cup Due to Tiger Wood’s Allergy
This year’s Ryder Cup will see a ban on garlic with the USA team keen to ensure that Tiger Wood, who is allergic to the herb, plays in the tournament.
The American had to miss two tournaments in 2003 when his then wife Elin Nordegren made a pasta dish with garlic.

Taking Woods' allergy into account, strict orders were delivered to a steakhouse the American team visited that garlic was strictly off limits.

The same instructions were given to the hosts of the gala dinner at Rosemont's Rosewood Restaurant.

"Nobody was served garlic. Easier that way," the Daily Mirror quoted restaurant owner Jimmy Mandas, as saying.
