 Gallup Poll Shows Iowa in Good Light as Regards All-round Health
The well-being index of a nation is a reliable indicator of the people’s emotional and physical health.
According to a recent well-being index, Iowa is now part of the top ten healthiest states in the nation. Hawaii and Colorado are the top two states according to the index.

The most recent Gallup Index shows Iowa as the 9th healthiest state in the United States for 2012. Iowa ranked 16th in 2011.

The next goal for Iowa would be to ensure it tops the charts as the healthiest state in the nation by 2016.

Sic parameters are taken into account to measure the state’s well-being index. This includes emotional health, physical health, work environment, healthy behaviors and satisfaction in life. The quality of access to medical services also forms an important evaluation for assessing the state’s well-being.
